A hardware wallet is a physical device that stores your private keys offline. Owning crypto means owning a private key โ€” whoever holds that key controls the funds. Keeping it on a hardware wallet means it's never exposed to the internet, even when you're making a transaction.

Your private keys are generated and stored inside the Infineon Solid Flash CC EAL5+ Secure Element chip on the device itself. They never leave the chip โ€” not when you connect to a computer, not when you sign a transaction. The Desktop App communicates only with the device's public-facing interface.
